St. Stephen of Hungary
St. Stephen of Hungry, Catholic Church, Christian RulerSt. Stephn was born at Pannonia around the year 969.  He was baptized and crowned King of Hungary in the year 1000.  As a Christian ruler, he was exemplary and always managed to do justice to the demands of the state as well as the requirements of the gospel of Christ.  He founded many dioceses and expended great energy in advancing the work of the Church.  He died in 1038.
