Dealing with the COVID-19 Crisis – Video

The COVID-19 coronavirus is unprecedented in many ways, but won’t be the last crisis we will ever face.

If passing through these dark days, we learn to see them as an opportunity, and make the most of it, we’ll be more equipped to rise to the new challenges that will inevitably come.  We must be determined to be overcomers rather than victims.

Amidst the COVID-19 crisis, we can be beacons of light and channels of peace, leaders showing others the way of confidence and joy. The coronavirus is highly contagious. We may not contract it. But if we fixate on COVID-19 news reports and facebook posts, we will be infected with fear and panic.

Focusing on the problem will cause us to sink . . . just like Peter sank when he turned his attention from Christ to the wind and waves. Holiness is also contagious. If we use the extra time we have from social distancing to spend time with Christ, we will become more like him. Then we will be “carriers” – not of coronavirus, but of peace, hope, and joy, helping others keep their perspective as the waves crash around us.
